Since we began in 2004 Be A Mentor has recruited more than 1300 new mentors throughout the Greater Charleston area. We help the mentoring movement in two important ways: first, we recruit mentors for our partner mentoring organizations; and second, we recruit mentors for our own programs which match mentors to fosters children and children who have a parent who is incarcerated or live in high crime areas where incarceration is a part of daily life.
